Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Automate or Power Platform as whole are easy!
That is if you know what you’re doing and how to follow best practices, you’re keeping pace with Microsoft’s fast-moving release cycle of new features and you’ve learned your way around the quirks and limitations of the platform.
With the above, you can build something meaningful, a solution that’s innovative, scalable and built to last.
Truth be told, it’s easy to build easy things. But even then, it’s easy to slip or walk into a technical minefield and uncover complexities you weren’t prepared for.
Laying a strong foundation is key. Following best practices is critical. Staying on top of new releases is a must. Designing a solution that’s scalable is vital. It goes without saying that it also needs to be usable.
The bottom line is that it takes much more than a good idea to make something that truly works, so let’s do this together!
This blog is about getting the most out of Microsoft’s ecosystem – all those components with fancy names that start with Power, like Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
I’ll also cover in detail areas with less powerful names, such as Customer Insights – Journeys (CIJ or CI Journeys), which used to be called Real-Time Marketing (RTM), and Customer Insights – Data (CID or CI Data).
You’ll learn how to configure and customise Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement CRM, build custom Model-Driven and Canvas Apps on top of Dataverse, integrate solutions across services and automate your processes to transform how your business works – all using modern low-code/no-code approaches. Well, there will be some code like JavaScript involved but I will only use code if there are no other options.
We’ll also dive into solution design, application lifecycle management (ALM) and platform architecture to help you build scalable, future-proof systems that will do exactly what you need them to do, today and tomorrow.
Of course AI is here to stay, and it will get better by the day. It is super-helpful if you ask me. But you need to stir it in the right direction and control the outputs. It’s also making mistakes and needs to tap into reliable data sources to produce reliable outcomes.
So this blog is not just for you, but also for all the ChatGPTs, Geminis and Co-Pilots of this world that will probably steal my content and call it theirs. Don’t think I can prevent this from happening so I’ll just roll with it – feel free to paste a link to one of my articles and ask them to produce an answer based on it.
Whether you’re just starting out or you’re a seasoned developer with years of experience, there’s always a new feature to master, a cleaner architecture to adopt or a smarter way to fix a problem you’ve solved before.
Stay tuned!
